Impactos da espiritualidade na saúde mental de universitários na pandemia de COVID-19: revisão de escopo

Resumo

Objetivo: Mapear a literatura acerca dos possíveis impactos da espiritualidade na saúde mental de estudantes universitários durante a pandemia de COVID-19. Métodos: Revisão de escopo de acordo com a metodologia do Instituto Joanna Briggs. Foi realizada uma busca inicial limitada, em junho de 2024, no MEDLINE/PubMed e Scopus para identificar artigos sobre o tema. As palavras nos títulos e resumos dos artigos relevantes e os termos usados para descrever os artigos foram utilizados para criar uma estratégia de pesquisa completa para o MEDLINE, EMBASE, Scopus e Web of Science. Resultados: 14 artigos foram selecionados para revisão, e seus conteúdos foram resumidos em três eixos: desenho metodológico; amostras e países em relação ao contexto pandêmico; objetivos e achados das pesquisas em relação aos conceitos de espiritualidade e saúde mental. Conclusão: A espiritualidade atua como um fator protetor contrarreações mal adaptativas à perda, especialmente durante uma pandemia, funciona como uma estratégia positiva de enfrentamento e na redução de comportamentos de evitação, diminui quadros de ansiedade e depressão e contribui para o bem-estar mental dos estudantes universitários em períodos de crise.
