Humor, estereótipos e metapragmáticas
uma análise discursiva
Abstract
Humor has evolved into a contentious subject of study within the realm of linguistics. In his research, Possenti (2018) redefined humor’s place within linguistics, focusing on its establishment as a distinct field of inquiry. Thus, from Bordieu (1975) to Maingueneau (2010), the Brazilian author elucidated the nuances and transformations of this concept as it manifests in various daily contexts, taking into account diverse social, economic, and political spheres. Consequently, humor is perceived as a domain that grapples with conflicting theories and methodologies in its quest for validation. In light of these considerations, our aim is to analyze an incident that occurred during a stand-up comedy performance by Léo Lins. The comedian resorted to racially insensitive statements to undermine a specific social group, namely, individuals of African descent, thus questioning the legitimacy of their historical resistance efforts and activism. Drawing upon the theoretical and methodological underpinnings of French Discourse Analysis, we utilize the concepts of simulacrum and metapragmatics to (re)examine the discourses and their connotations that circulated in the form comments on the social media platform Instagram.Downloads
