DIREITO SOCIAL À SAÚDE E AS AÇÕES VOLTADAS PARA PROTEÇÃO DOS POVOS INDÍGENAS DURANTE A PANDEMIA DA COVID-19

This paper aims to discuss the legitimacy of implementing specific actions for the protection of indigenous peoples during the Covid-19 pandemic, considering the particularities of the group, as a way of effecting equality in access to the right to health, member of the social security system, from the perspective of minority rights. Therefore, through the literature review and data analysis, the prediction of the Social Security system and the right to health in the 1988 Constitution of the Federative Republic of Brazil will be addressed, especially highlighting the need to recognize that the right to health is a fundamental right to be implemented with equity for all and whose responsibility for making it effective lies with the federation's entities. Subsequently, the measures indicated and adopted to combat the proliferation of the coronavirus in indigenous communities, notably in the State of Mato Grosso, will be addressed in order to show that certain groups require specific attention to implement social rights, due to cultural characteristics individuals and the situation of social vulnerability to which they are submitted.
