Abstract

This article seeks to analyze how Rede Globo is adapting to the media in a moment of great technological advance and the presence of new media and communication formats. The article had as theoretical basis concepts elaborated by the researcher Henry Jenkins that calls this socio-cultural phenomenon as Convergence Culture. In addition, aspects of content consumption were analyzed through an opinion survey with 520 respondents in which it was possible to identify the characteristics of TV consumption. In this research, it was found that the form of consumption and dissemination of content has changed and Rede Globo maintained its hegemony even with the new media.
