Penalidade máxima
o futebol em (dis)curso
Abstract
Football is one of the most popular sports in the world. As a sport, it comprehends not only a powerful media influence regarding the sports field, but also fomenting a large economic capital through huge financial negotiations. Thus, this article aims to understand this space of discourse as an environment of resistance, still timid, but important against racism and homophobia. Taking into consideration these aspects, our point in this article, therefore, is to analyses such prejudiced meanings that are casted and created by a historical social memory which spreads hate. Therefore, the football field, the space game, for instance, no longer becomes a mere reproduction of a singular memory of union, singularity and celebration. It also becomes a place where social movements are in the spotlight. Moreover, many examples of resistance demonstrations against the spread of racist and homophobic stereotypes takes places in the football field. Based on French speech analyses, we seek to observe the emergency of this resistance through language events, considering Michel Pêcheux (2010) concepts of memory and archive.Downloads
