Relação entre alimentação saudável e prevenção de ansiedade e depressão em adultos: revisão sistemática

Objetivo: relacionar a alimentação saudável e a prevenção de ansiedade e depressão em adultos. Métodos: revisão sistemática conduzida com as palavras-chaves “mental disorders”, “depression”, “anxiety”, “mental health”, “Diet, food and Nutrition”, “Feeding behavior” e “Prevention”. Todas as buscas em bases eletrônicas foram realizadas no dia 22 de abril de 2023, sendo selecionados artigos publicados nos últimos cinco anos, seguindo o protocolo PRISMA. Dos 140 artigos pesquisados, realizou-se uma seleção que culminou em uma amostra de 20 artigos, que cumpriram os critérios de inclusão. Resultados: O estudo revelou que uma alimentação saudável, especialmente a dieta mediterrânea, está associada à redução significativa do risco de transtornos ansiosos e depressivos em adultos, destacando a importância da interação entre dieta e microbiota intestinal para a saúde mental. Conclusão: D dieta mais saudável e com perfil mediterrâneo apontaram boas evidências no que concerne à prevenção de transtornos depressivos e redução da ansiedade, porém necessita de mais estudos referentes ao perfil da dieta e associação entre transtornos depressivos e ansiosos.
