Traços de personalidade e adesão terapêutica em pessoas com tuberculose: um estudo transversal

Objetivo: Identificar os traços de personalidade dos indivíduos em tratamento para tuberculose nos Centros de Saúde da Família e sua relação com a adesão terapêutica. Método: estudo descritivo, transversal e correlacional. Foram entrevistadas 89 pessoas de 35 Centros de Saúde da Família. Foram utilizados Inventário Big Five, técnica de contagem de comprimidos e dados sociodemográficos. Resultados: 85,4% foram aderentes e 12,4% registraram recaídas ou readmissões por abandonos anteriores. O traço de personalidade responsável apresentou relação significativa com a adesão (p=0,006). Conclusão: Esta pesquisa conseguiu identificar os traços de personalidade existentes em pacientes com Tuberculose e prever quais características de personalidade favorecem a adesão à terapêutica.Esta avaliação detectou uma grande necessidade de incorporar estratégias de avaliação da saúde mental dos pacientes, pois estas favorecem a adesão terapêutica.
