Abstract

This research aims to discuss the current scenario facing the insured under Law 13.457 / 2017, which substantially modifies disability benefits, sickness benefits and disability retirement. Firstly, we discuss historical concepts and the evolution of social security, and then explain the regime and aids followed in the Brazilian legal system by the Social Security Benefit Plan - PBPS, emphasizing Disability Aid and Disability Retirement that were the major affected by the Law. object of this study. And finally we address the modifications and alternatives to be treated. The research was guided by the hypothetical-deductive method with analysis of the Federal Constitution of 1988, Law 1.457 / 2017, articles, books, dissertations and other documents.
