AMELIA, A TRUE WOMAN ?: AN ANALYSIS OF THE SENSE EFFECTS ON (AND TO) THE WOMAN TODAY
Abstract
Under apparent evidence, certain historically stabilized sayings are reproduced in the social environment, enabling an imaginary of / for women today. Anchored in the theoretical contributions of Discourse Analysis (Pêcheux), we conducted an analysis of the discourses on this theme, put into circulation on the world wide web. To this end, we look at an analysis of the words for the signifier Amelia, sung by Mario Lago, in 1911, as well as discursivized in the available discussion forums. In our gesture of interpretation, we seek a better understanding of the functioning of these effects of senses in the regularization of a memory about women today, considering their effects on social practices, especially in the position that women occupy today.
