Abstract

The lives of rural women, until the Federal Constitution of 1988, went unnoticed in society, founded on a relationship of hierarchy and oppression in all social spaces, not being recognized as workers. It was through social movements that these women changed the Brazilian scenario. Thus, through a theoretical and exploratory study through documentary research and relevant bibliography, being based on the deductive approach method this article investigates the relevance of the Federal Constitution of 1988 in view of the recognition of peasant women as workers. The study shows that this Federal Constitution was a landmark for the rights of equality and difference of these women, especially in recognition as workers, which guaranteed them citizenship rights, especially in the area of labor and social security rights.
