In cyberspace, an individual's identity profile is increasingly determined by external choices, with the risk of being exploited, adulterated, and even falsified without the possibility of effective opposition. Cyberspace is progressively redrawing the relationship between personal autonomy and identity, making it necessary to develop new tools for protection, not only of a legal nature but above all of a cultural and social nature. The position of minors in the digital world is even more complex, as they, especially in early childhood, are at a stage of life where their personal identity is still being formed and constructed. There is a clear need to explore new avenues to fully protect children's identities, ranging from greater awareness among those exercising parental responsibility to greater regulatory protection for children in the face of the development of devices such as chatbots and forms of conversational and generative AI.
